| The Following are Image and Graphics submission guidelines- ~Ideally~ -Macintosh based. -Image files preferred: .jpg .tif .bmp .png and .psd - 200 pixels per inch AT the size it is to be printed. Gif files are "lossy" and tend to lose detail, but are acceptible for a basis to recreate. Photoshop version 7 is used, PSCS files will need to be back saved to version 7. All fonts converted to a graphic. RGB or CMYK and are acceptable. Layered .psd files are preferred if available, especially when the need to have an underprint white is present. -Vector Art: EPS and PDF (Keeping in mind that Adobe Illustrator 10 is used - AICS will need to be backsaved as Mac & compatible with version 10) ALL fonts changed to outlines, and if these files are submitted, protocol would also call for a jpeg preview so we know how it is supposed to actually look. Embedded images must also be included in a folder with the file. If CorelDraw or Freehand is used to make the original art, export as .eps. If a specific Pantone spot color is desired, please include it by number in the details. -Word (.doc) & Powerpoint (.ppt) will work to give a basic idea, but they are not true graphic programs for screen printing, again protocol would also call for a jpeg preview so we know how it is supposed to actually look & because the same fonts will not necessarily be loaded this end. Files and folders may be compressed into .zip and .sit for email and uploading to servers. In most cases, this is preferred to avoid corruption over email, and many servers will not host uncompressed files that differ from "web happy" image files like jpg, gif and png. Low resolution files will need to be rebuilt for separation and printing |
